Yesterday I saw a forsythia blooming! Finally!
Today I saw a few brave daffodils lifting their sunny yellow heads! Huzzah!
The poophead sparrows (officially white-throated sparrows; my mom and I call them poophead sparrows because they have black and white striped heads that kind of look, well, like another bird pooped on them) are out back calling "Old Sam Peabody, Peabody, Peabody."
I also heard a song sparrow singing, among other things, the opening notes of Beethoven's 5th, so apparently they're back now too.
As I passed through the forest preserves on the way back from anime club tonight, the marshes were full of calling frogs.
And tomorrow is going to be 80 degrees, which is better than yesterday's 45 but a little too far in the opposite direction for my taste. Still, warmth! And maybe even sunshine! W00T!
