I started a botanical drawing tonight that is actually, finally, going well. It's admittedly a very small drawing (like 2" x 2"), but it would make me very happy indeed if I manage not to make a hash of it, because every plant drawing I've started over the past two weeks (at the least) has pretty much (sorry) died on the vine. Which has been depressing as hell.

I had to stop tonight because it's getting too dark to see -- it's a tiny sample of a plant called "million bells" from one of my mom's outdoor hanging baskets, and those don't come inside unless you want all sorts of insect life to come in with them -- but I'm holding out hope that tomorrow night I'll be able to finish it off to my satisfaction. Please, universe?

Aww, thanks! :-) The hard part (the blooms themselves) is mostly done, so hopefully I won't fumble the ball.
